Mariam Story is a paralegal specializing in immigration matters in the United States, initially trained as a lawyer in her home country, Venezuela, where she practiced for over a decade in legal, tax, customs, and administrative processes. It is important to note that, although her legal training is solid and extensive, Mariam is NOT a lawyer in the United States and works as a paralegal.

Her experience in immigration matters, although recent, has grown rapidly thanks to her discipline, professional ethics, and commitment to the Hispanic community. In recent years, she has worked as a paralegal at Law Offices of Daniel Ortiz LLC, providing support in complex cases such as asylum, TPS, DACA, family petitions, humanitarian visas (U, VAWA, SIJ), FOIA, status adjustments, processes before the National Visa Center, residency renewal, citizenship, waivers, parole in place, and employment visas (EB-1, EB-2 NIW, and EB-3).

Despite her more recent trajectory in immigration, Mariam has stood out for her rapid preparation and constant updating. Her CV includes more than 40 courses and certifications in immigration, procedural law, international logistics, document fraud prevention, and preparation of personal and corporate taxes. Additionally, she offers strategic business planning services, accounting, payroll, and holds certifications as a Notary Public and Wedding Minister.

As an immigrant, Mariam personally understands the fear, uncertainty, and hope that those starting an immigration process experience. Her own experience drove her to turn her international legal trajectory into a support tool for other immigrants seeking clarity and opportunities in the United States.
